Well we split our bee hives and over a few weeks we turned 1 into 3 very strong hives with queens. Honey is brewing and no swarms to be seen. i split the hive by putting a new super on top with queen cells taken from the bottom and put a queen excluder between them. Stole some other brood and honey. Left them there for a day then moved the top box to make its own hive. Only left a small opening for the bees to get in and out and keep robbing from happening. Added two gal jug of sugar syrup to a new super and presto change there doing great a week latter with a queen. Now if the cows would work out this easy lol.
