We decided to raise the beautiful breed of cattle, the Majestic Scottish Highlander cows. We already have two sweet heifers and a handsome bull. All are young less then two years old. We’re hoping to breed them and have some calves next spring. They are (ours anyways) a docile group. But I’m still Always carful around Hamish. They are not a needy bunch. Hay and water with a small amount of grain and there happy as hell. They love to eat what nothing else will eat. I plan on fencing in our woods and letting them eat up the trees as far as they can reach. Mel spends time brushing them so they love her all to death lol. At this time we have a Red Bull red heifer and a white heifer. We’re trying to get a black heifer. This has been a dream of mine to raise these sweet animals for years. Follow us through this journey that I never thought was possible and is now a reality. I’ll share the triumphs, tribulations and the crazy that goes with this endevor. like coming home last night and they got out of there fenced in field, looked like half the town was out front of The farm. There’s Mel walking with all of them following right behind her including the jersey heifer. right back into the field and fixed the fence.
